These came in the mail from Amazon when I ordered something else entirely. Amazon refunded my money and told me to keep them. They’re metric...

The tips and material make me think metal, but I’ve never seen anything like those.

reamer or how ever you want to say it. drill the hole and make it bigger with the other bit.

Looks like this set? https://www.amazon.com/Xilko-Countersink-Titanium-Coated-Drilling/dp/B074MR7SDZ
Not sure about the proper terminology, but I’m seeing similar sets with titles like “drill saw” “saw drill”, and “drill saw rasp”.

They’re side cutting drill bits, so you can drill through then cut a slot if you need to. I had a set once and they were pretty bad for anything besides wood.

You’ve probably earned it. Or will soon, have two.

It’s for wood, a roughing mill that you can use to remove material in tight spots.

I believe I saw them on a side table in Hostel II ....

Twist drills tend to make long curly chips. The odd interrupted shapes in the middle make me think the chips should be very small or the drilling depth should be short.
Maybe the material they cut is not exotic and they are just supposed to use some sort of drill guide or bore hole and only cut into something well below the surface.

Pretty much best dentist drills ever made.

Ya you would want an end mill for metal and have take multiple passes to get to desired depth.

Yeah we had a set get thrown in for free when I bought a drill index for our FSAE machine shop so we compared it to our end Mills and they were laughably bad. I think they all broke when someone was trying to cut a slot in a fiberglass panel.

bad ass! I can count more than a few times I’ve needed to kinda widen a hole and not actually had side cutting bits and just used my existing drill bits incorrectly. free ones, neato!

Should I be triggered right now? (Actually, Mom was here and we took her with us to a dinner party and she drank all of the hostess’s wine and got pretty deep into her cups and acted a
complete
fool and I was not impressed.)
